Maurice Barboza grew up in Connecticut on a street that is 60 meters above sea level. As a small child, he enjoyed listening to the sounds of the neighborhood, riding his tricycle and seeing the neighbors. Being almost entirely flat, the town was perfect for relaxed bicycling on quiet streets with the kids in the neighborhood. He attended local schools and played a lot of baseball during the summers. He enjoyed reading and hearing about local history. He is the fourth generation to live in the town. Decades ago, he discovered
ancestors who served in the Revolutionary War from elsewhere in New England.
